Leazra got dressed as quickly as she could, fumbling over her garments. She was definitely feeling the effects of the poison in its early stages already. And she didn't even know that she was poisoned... She just wondered why she was feeling so ill.

Are you ready?
I asked, glancing out the window nervously. I gripped my weapons, hand running over Hogosha's head.
I don't suppose you know of any doctors around here.

"I've never really been out in the world-- just looked at a lot of maps," Leazra admitted. She pulled her coat on and grabbed her sickles and sword. "I'm ready."

I nodded, pulling on the buckle of my sword one last time to make sure it was still there. With an edge of fear, I opened the door, looking up and down the hallway uncertainly. Part of me wanted to it all remain quiet, and allow us to slip silently outside, while the other half dared some villain to walk past, just so I could kick his butt.
Just yell if you think you're going to collapse or anything.
I remarked, throwing the words over my shoulder as an after thought. With a cringe I reminded myself to stay focused on the task, and no let my mind drag me somewhere else. Now was no time to daydream about chopping peoples heads off.
I stepped out into the hallway leaning forward slightly as the urge to crouch came over me. We didn't have the luxury of time to slink through the shadows, though, so I forced myself to walk straight. It already felt like someone had an arrow aimed at my back, even though I doubted anyone would really come to apprehend us. That man could of killed Leazra back there. Heck, he probably could have killed me, but he didn't, so obviously he wanted to see what we did. OR did he? Maybe it was all a mental game; he was trying to make us feel so, let our guard down, then he'd swoop in and slit our throats.
I banged my head against the wall. Lightly, mind you, but hard enough to know some sense into myself. Look, two minutes in and my mind was already wander. I was almost a helpless case.
Hogosha moved ahead of his frazzled master. I could have sworn I saw his eyes rolls, but logic told me wolves couldn't do that... could they?
The fur on the back of his neck stood up for a moment, the dark eyes looking down the stairwell with suspicion. Maybe I'd been wrong, and there was someone here. That would really suck.
Light began to creep up the stairs, inching closer and closer to Hogosha's shadowed form. He growled, white teeth glinting as firelight touched them. I heard a rather high pitched scream and the sound of something.. or probably someone, falling down the stairs. Deadly assassins don't scream like girls, do they?
Well, I didn't get an answer to that question, but I did discovers inn keepers scream like girls. The Poor man lay sprawled on the floor, cowering in fear from Hogosha who stood at the top of the stairs. I patted the wolf on the head, leaning around the corner of the wall as I studied the inn keeper. He didn't look dangerous, in any sense of the word. Tall, thin, and with very, very few muscles. I mean, very. He looked like a twig, and I wondered for a moment if he'd just snapped like one falling down the stairs, or if he was just to in shock to get up. No matter, this still added a new level of excitement to the night.
I looked over at Leazra, smiling slightly.
It's the inn keeper. What do you think we should do?

Leazra walked up and stood beside Kakashi, staring down at the innkeeper with a growing smirk on her lips. Her hazel eyes shined almost yellow in the cracks of moonlight that managed to shine on them. Casually, but with her guard still up, she tried her best to walk in a straight line as she went over to the frail man. She crouched by him, petting Hogosha on the head (if she could).
"...It's not like an innkeeper to be up this late and listening in on other people's rooms," she remarked, rather snidely. "Is there something you should be telling us?"

The innkeeper shook his head nervously, eyes wide with fear as he looked up at Leazra. There would have been a time when I would had started laughing at the amusing look on his face, but now most certainly wasn't that time, and I felt my own suspicions growing as I looked down on him
I- I- I- I- I just... heard t- t- t-things is, all.
He stuttered, slowly inching into a sitting position, his eyes glancing around at the three of us. Mostly at Hogosha, who stood with teeth barred.
I think.... I think I w- w- want to be going to bed now.
He added, leaping to his feet and making up the stairs as quickly as he could.

Leazra rushed outside as quickly as she could, as soon as the innkeeper made for the stairs. Whipping out a sickle, she adjusted it between her fingers and sent it spiralling at the fleeing coward. The sickle caught the innkeeper in the shoulder, sending him tumbling down the stairs with a prickling injury.
Leazra snuffed. On healthier days, she would've been able to pin the innkeeper to the wall rather than just injure his shoulder.

The innkeeper cried out and fell backwards, causing me to cringe. That had probably woken up a couple other people.
I grabbed the man's shirt as he tumbled past, dragging him up to my height and looking him deep in the eye. Did you really think that was going to work?
OK, that little get away raised the suspicion levels up a few bars. Maybe you should starting explaining what you were doing up in more detail hm?

Leazra followed and yanked the sickle out of the innkeeper, probably causing the pathetic old man to squeak. She stored it at her belt as she looked at him coldly.
"Whom have you been in contact with? Why are you suspicious of us?"

Ye've got weapons and bad attitudes, why wouldn't I be suspicious of you two?!
The man cried desperately. He had a good point, really, but I wasn't in the mood for good points.
Just... just let me go, I'll tell you.. I'll...
His eyes fluttered closed, and with a frown I realized he'd passed out. I shot an accusing glance at Leazra's direction.
Well this is peachy.
I muttered, dropping the limp body on the stairs harshly.

"The fact is that while he knew we had weapons, he had no right of accusing us of having bad attitudes and eavesdropping on our conversations. He could've done that to any one of his customers," Leazra said, rather crankily. Apparently, the poison wasn't helping her bad attitude lift.
"C'mon... We're leaving before we cause anymore trouble. Where's a good place to station ourselves?"

I don't know, you think I do this a lot?
Listen to me, I wasn't even the one poisoned and I was getting a bad attitude. I mentally tried to calm myself down, distracting my angry thoughts by poking the inn keeper's body with my toe.
The stables our best bet. So obvious, no one would even look there.
I muttered. OK, so, yeah, I had done this a lot. More then I cared to admit. So I was an expert at disappearing and avoiding people. I slipped out the door, eyes narrowed as I looked up and down the streets. Abandoned., It was midnight, and no one was outside. Made perfect sense, but it still made me nervous. How much do you want to bet if there HAD been people outside I would have been nervous, too?
Hogosha moved passed me, entirely unconcerned as he trotted down the middle of the street.
Idiot!
I whispered, but he ignored me, making his way to the stables.

"Put a lease on your mutt before it gets us into trouble."
Leazra liked the wolf, but if it would be the source of more problems then they had even more to worry about than right now. She slipped into the shadows and slithered along, making sure to keep herself well-hidden as they made their way towards the stables.

I stopped dead in my tracks, glaring at Leazra as she slipped past. My eye narrowed dangerously, lips forming in a snarl under my mask. O ho, she did not just call him a mutt.
Put it behind you, a little voice said. The voice or reason, I figured. It's not worth it right now, just get safe THEN you get try and beat her up.
I bit my lip, moving forward again so that I was beside her, my eyes flashing angrily.
Excuse me?
I whispered harshly, trying to make sure I'd heard her correctly before I attacked her. Would have felt real stupid afterwards if it had ended up being my imagination.

Leazra's eyes seemed to suddenly flash an angry, bright green before returning to its usual sparkling hazel. Only now, that hazel seemed to sizzle in frustration that borderlined on rage.
"I'm not in the mood for mistakes right now-- be it yours, your pet's, or my own. Now, let's get out of here--Urgh..."
She suddenly collapsed on the trail, gripping the wound on her shoulder.
