"Yeah..." She yawned. "Maybe we should..."
And she was out cold. The pale moonlight gilded her ringlet hair in silver, making her skin seem much whiter than it really was. She seemed very serene tonight... A contrast to her normally lively self while they traveled.

I raised an eyebrow, looking down at her in amazement. I'd never seen anyone fall asleep that quickly. I sighed, unsure of what action to take. Should I wake her and guide her up the stairs? Should I carry her? I could only imagine what her reaction would be if she woke up during that.

Apparently, she was actually asleep. She didn't react at all to Kakashi's prodding, besides a stir or two. She remained face-down at the table, her arms crossed so that her forehead could rest on something soft.
But there was something different in the air, suddenly. As if they weren't alone in the dining hall of the inn...

I bit my lip, narrowing my eyes as I looked around. Didn't like this feeling one bit. It was extremely unnerving, especially with my companion asleep on a table and me with no weapon for self-defense.
I glanced back at Leazra and sighed. Something told me things might get dangerouse...
I slipped off my gauntlet, allowing my tattoos to see the light of... well, the light of night. For a moment they glittered silver in the moonlight, drawing a suspicious glance from me. That had never happened before.

"I'd be surprised if she could feel anything right now," said a voice at the entrance of the dining hall.
The silhouette of a slender figure leaned casually, almost smugly, against the doorframe. The only noticeable features of this stranger were two shining, silver disks that vaguely resembled eyes on a shadowed head.

Yeah, bad feelings really strong now.
I narrowed my eyes even more, motioning my hand off to my side. I wasn't about to take chances. I had no idea what this person... creature... whatever it was powers were, and if Lea wasn't going to be able to back me up, I needed someone to protect her.
One someone coming up.
I whispered my spell, drawing on my secret power. The tattoos shimmered silver for a moment, and I pretended that was normal. It wasn't, and it was starting to scare the crap out of me.
Mist swirled around me, forming steadily into a wolf. He stood tall, shoulders up to waste; white, dead eyes staring into nothing.

"No, I really don't," the stranger said, unmoving for the moment. "But I will tell you that you have a few days before she really does die. It's a slow-working poison that the arrow pierced her with-- especially since it hit her shoulder rather than her heart."
Kakashi could almost have sworn that the silhouette smirked at him. "Besides... I know better than to pit myself against someone as un-renowned as you, Kakashi."
And he was gone. Leazra began to tremble in her sleep.

I swore, straightening my tense posture. I looked over my shoulder at Leazra, furrowing my brow. Poison, hmm? I admitted I had little experience in that area. I knew someone who did, but I feared I wouldn't be able to reach her in time.
Lea? Lea, get up.
I whispered, leaning over her.
Come on, we need to find a doctor.
I wasn't sure who I was talking to, my wolf Hogosha or Leazra.

No, we're... we're in an inn, remember? Now, please get up. We have to get moving.
I replied, quickly, fear edging my words. I looked over my shoulder, unsure of if the shadowy figure really was gone. I gripped Hogosha's fur for comfort, his presence giving me a small fraction of peace.

"If you wanna tell me, I guess it would be better to know whom I should be looking out for next time," Leazra said sleepily, almost falling over as she tried to stand up. "...We should probably get dressed before we leave."
