Amidst the mountains of glimmering white Sets a town that's O so bright With dazzling snow and brilliant shade And marked by heron, sparrow, wren Lies the village of Half Shadow Glen.
Thus was how the old elvish verse described the village that sat nestled at the foot of the Velas Mountains. However, half the poem seemed no longer true... The snows of the Velas were no more this season. And the land was confused on whether to sprout its grass or leave the land barren.
Leazra led Kakashi to the top of the foothills. Here, she stopped and admired the sight of civilization down below. "Half Shadow Glen... The town within the valley at the foot of the Velas."

I raised an eyebrow at the scene, and wondered for a moment if Leazra had been here before. I thought about asking her for a second, but decided to withhold. I pried into peoples lives to much already, I didn't need to bother her, too.
Ever been here before?
OK, that moment of self-control lasted a grand total of five seconds. New record, hooray.
Nosy human.
Black Moon muttered.
Elf, I'm an elf you half-wit!
I cried, slapping him on the neck. I instantly regretted the maneuver, and with the speed and agility granted to me by my lineage, I slipped from his back and twirled around Leazra's horse, hiding from the unicorn's rage. The creature stood silently on the otherside of the horse, patiently waiting for me to come out of hiding.
Erm, uh, what was I saying? Oh, yes, uh, have you ever been here before?

Leazra laughed out loud and gave Black Moon a quick pet on the mane. "Now, now, Black Moon... That's not a proper way to treat your rider, from what I hear."
She then turned to Kakashi, dismounting her horse and facing him. She was quite close to the elf, but she didn't seem uncomfortable with the lack of distance between them. Leazra was an in-your-face elf, mostly.
"No, I haven't. I've heard tales of the village from my own village home. You?"

Black Moon watched us sourly, accepting the pat with s shake of his head and a look of pure hatred in my direction, I turned his butt to us and began to graze, choosing to ignore the stupid people he'd been forced to accompany. Actually, he preferred to call it kidnapping.
Nope, never. I've rarely ever been out of the city, really.
I replied, looking over my shoulder to view the scenic, well, view. I was eager to explore it's streets and boundaries.

"Well, my yet-to-be good friend... or so I hope..." Leazra said, pondering over the thought for a moment, "you are in for a real treat, traveling the world like this. Though, I do believe your ride would quite disagree."
She looked over at Black Moon, who was completely ignoring them. Then, her attention returned to Kakashi. She grinned smugly. "Shall we? Or shall we rest here for a while?"

I, uh, think it would be best if we rested. Something tells my ride isn't going to budge for a while.
Black Moon flicked his tail in agreement and moved further off.
I guess now would be a good time to explain to you who exactly you're going to try and kill.
I muttered, plopping down into the grassy bank as I looked out of the town. It looked quite pleasant, and I hoped it was. Sometimes looked good from far away, and became pretty ugly up close.

Leazra let herself flop down onto the ground beside Kakashi, arms spread in either direction as she looked up at the masked elf. Again she found herself admiring his mysteriously attractive features.
"All right," she said. "Yo te escucho."

Eso es bueno, tengo gusto de él cuando escucha la gente, y el escuchar es algo que usted debe hacer probablemente ahora. Ahora, es una historia larga, así que intentaré cortarla abajo para clasificar para usted todo, o bien estaremos aquí todo el dia. Y, hacer esto mucho más simple, pienso que procuraré explicarlo en las palabras que son más fáciles para que hable.
I took a deep breath, both in an attempt to get rid of the headache which had suddenly appeared again, and to calm my own nerves. I'd only told one other person about my life , or any part of it, in great detail, and now it seemed like the subject was popping up everyday. I wondered how much longer I would be able to hide from it before I had to truly face it.
Alright, about twenty years ago, I was five. Pretty simple, but when I was five, I was apparently... gifted. Or so my father thought. So, in an attempt to get on the king's good side, he told the king that he believed I would be a good, uh... specimen for a little experiment Rutherford was conducting. He, the king, was trying to create an elf with magic built into it, almost like a super mage or something. There were five other kids besides me, but in the end I was the only one that escaped. the project was ended because the results weren't fruitful enough, so most of the mage were executed, though one died later in battle. But there was another one, a younger mage, who was a brother to one of the older spellcasters. It is he that I am searching for, because it is he that tormented the six of us the most. His name is Adonis, and I want to find him, and kill him.

"Wow, you really had a mind full when you spoke that excerpt of Darium," Leazra remarked, amused, though she probably knew little more than he did of the language.
She plucked some grass alongside her, playing with some of the blades, rolling them between her fingers and casting them aside. As she did this, she listened to what Kakashi had to say. It sounded like a summary of his life, rather than a briefing on what she was going to help him accomplish.
As Kakashi summed up his story, she sat up and faced him. "Adonis, eh? Anything else I should know about this other super-elf?"

Well, he's anything but super. In fact, he's a lying, demon, little híbrido, and I want nothing more then to kick his nalgas.
I growled, twisting a clump of grass in my hand. I tore the roots from the ground, and with dark eyes I slowly pulled it apart, feeling better after I had murdered the blades.

"Even the most wretched of demons can be considered formidable," Leazra remarked with a grin. "I rather think I'll enjoy meeting this... Adonis guy."
She watched as the grass was uprooted and split in Kakashi's angry hands. A malicious grin slowly smeared itself across her smooth, fair face as her golden-brown locks fluttered in the breeze. "...Satisfied?"

No, not really.
I muttered, looking up into the village below. It still seemed so quite and calm, and I didn't want to disturb it. What horrors could we bring there? What horrors already lay within it's borders?
Sighing I pushed off the grass, looking into the sky. It was clear blue, with the sun bright above us, shinning down and lighting the slick grass. But around us were dark clouds. Snow filled clouds, going in a total circle around the mountain. How crazy.
Should we get going?
I asked, casting a glance at Black Moon who remained detached from the conversation.

"Yeah, me neither..."
She looked back over the hills and down at the village. Nothing seemed askew with the village facade, though this fact may change once they approached. Everything looks quiet from far away...
"We can go as long as you can get your mount to listen to you," Leazra laughed, standing up and offering a helping hand to Kakashi.

I smiled and took the hand, brushing off my pants and looking at Black Moon's butt. He always had been a challenge.
Hey, we're going into town.
I called out. Nothing.
Probably getting some supplies.
Still nothing.
Maybe even some apples.
The unicorn's head perked up, audits high and back as he listened to my voice.
But, I guess if you don't want to come, we don't have to get the apples...
Now, wait a second...
I grinned beneath my mask, confident I had one this round. He always had had a soft spot for apples, and I knew just how to use it against him.
With a sigh, if that's even possible for a horse to do, he slowly turned around and allowed me to mount, giving me an evil glare the entire time. Bribes cam at a high price, and I imagined I would have to pay quite a lot to keep him happy.
So, what, generally, is the best place to get information?
I aksed, tunring to Leazra.

Leazra mounted her own horse without much difficulty, lest it be a mere toss of the head or reluctancy to move for a moment. She looked at Kakashi thoughtfully.
And then she said, "I guess it depends on what kind of information you want."
