"At risk of saying something PG-13ish," Leazra said, "I wouldn't mind a ride, right now." She smirked at Kakashi with a dark glint, which passed with her next comment.
"Anyway, I won't go into defining that. I'll take a horse, if you will. The fact is, at least I don't have sufficient funds for a horse. Stealing one is a pretty big risk."

I blinked several times at her. I was pretty sure I got what she meant, and with a shake of my head, I proceeded to rub my temple in an attempt to dispel the headache which had quite suddenly appeared. I wonder why.
Yes, well, I do believe I can get us the horses.
I replied, choosing to completely ignore the first comment. I didn't know what to say to that anyway.

"That'll save us a lot of trouble, for traveling," Leazra said. "Not that I mind the exercise, but I'd rather get to where you need to go more quickly so I can see for myself what I'm getting myself into."
Leazra stood, following Kakashi as he walked.

Sure, sure. I think I might be able to find something about him. You'll at least be able to read his history. Or I could just tell you, if you'd prefer that. I know plenty about him.
I replied, looking up and down the streets in a slightly suspicious way. After I was sure that there were only a few witnesses nearby, I slipped down a alley way which, conveniently, led right to the back paddock of a local stable. Looking over the high fence, I surveyed our choices. These were the horses bound for less then pleasant places and ends, so I figured they wouldn't be missed, anyway. I could have sworn that a stable hand saw me swipe a horse from here once, but never told. They were probably thankful I was taking them off their hands.

Leazra looked around as Kakashi did, aware of the few witnesses as well as the stable boy. She turned to Kakashi, who seemed ready to swipe a horse from the stable. "..You're just going to steal it like this?"

Just trust me, I know what I'm doing, ok?
I assured her, hopping over the fence into the mud paddock. I cast a glance at the stable hand, who lay asleep in his chair, and the small stable boy he smiled happily at me. He knew me well enough, so stable boy eve forgets the guy who gave him twenty gold coins.
As if I was actually buying the creatures, I looked at the horses, which amounted to a grand total of two, and realized one looked familiar. Of course he did, I could never forget that one.
With a snort I slipped off the gauntlet on my left hand, revealing the tattoo in full, which ended in a detailed mark on my palm. Whispering a word I brushed my hand over the horse's black coat, re-lacing my gauntlet.
How did you get yourself stuck in here again? You idiot, I told you to take the left and not the right.
I told the horse, imagining I looked pretty stupid.
Oh, shut-up. I prefer to trust my instincts instead of yours, you filthy human. Let me guess, you need me again, don't you?
He replied, snorting right back at me.
It's either that or you end up as someone's dinner.

Leazra watched as this interesting scene took place. Kakashi apparently was talking to the horse. If she were some kind of human, she'd think he was crazy. And while she thought him a little nuts for going as far as to talk to the horse, she remembered that certain elves could connect with nature's creations well enough to hold a conversation.
She didn't question Kakashi's reason for talking to the horse and not the hand. "...So?"

So, this is Black Moon, a mutated- Unique!
He interupted, threatening to bite me.
Fine, unique unicorn who is both annoying, sarcastic, and at points just plain stupid.
I quickly stepped out of the range of Black Moon's snapping jaw.
That horse over there... well, I don't know, but that's your mount. Go get to know it, name it, figure out what gender it is, All that good stuff, then we can really get going.
I replied, eying Black Moon with suspicion. His white star seemed grey as it peeked through his forelock, but then I realized it looked grey because he was dirty, and with narrowed eyes I turned my gaze to the stable boy. He shrugged at me, pointed to the stable hand, then returned to whatever his job was. Obviously the stable hand did not think the horses important enough for a good grooming.

Leazra nodded and walked over to the horse Kakashi had told her to go to. "...Hello, there," she said, a sweetness in her voice that was as genuine as she was wild. Even the smile she presented was quite the opposite of what expression she had shown to Kakashi.

=Things aren't the way they were before, you would even recognize me anymore= =Not that you knew me back then, but it all comes back to me in the end=
I muttered under my breath, slipping on to Black Moon's back with some effort. He was a tall horse, and it had been a while since I'd ridden something.
Making good friends?
I asked, gripping the black mane nervously as my steed twisted around to allow me to see Leazra. I never had like riding bareback, but Black Moon would never allow me to place a saddle on his back. I'd had to fight with him just to be able to use a bridle. Stubborn idiot.
Call me an idiot again and I'll kick you from my back. Let's see how far the filthy human can fly.
Right, he could read my mind, I would have to remember that.
I already told you, I'm not a human, I'm an elf.
I muttered weakly. I hated this horse so much sometimes.

Leazra hopped onto her own horse easily, having convinced him without much effort that she was a friend to him. "C'mon... Let's go," she coaxed, urging him forward so that she could join Kakashi and Black Moon. She grinned at them. "So?"

Right. So, um... So, um... a map, we need a map. Unless you know the layout of this world, it's best we know where we're going. I don't believe either of us really knows that, so I suggest we get a map. We'll have to buy one, though. The good ones are never displayed out. In fact, the ones mapmakers display are often fakes. Very tricky people.
I explained, scratching my chin absent mindedly as I looked around a bit. It had been a while since I'd been here, but I was pretty sure I knew where the good mapmaker was.
I lifted my leg to kick Black Moon into action, thought better of it, and urged him forward, lifting a bridle from a nearby post despite the unicorn's displeased comments. I needed something to hold onto, and with a few quick movements, I snapped out the bit and place the thing around Black Moon's head.
With another urging we moved forward faster, and in no time we had cleared the fence, trotting down the abandoned alleyway with loud echoes behind us.

Leazra watched the beginning of Kakashi's departure, following his example of urging her horse on to move forward. As Black Moon gained speed, so did her horse. When they jumped the fence, Leazra braced herself but urged her horse to jump it as well.
They cleared, a little low, but cleared it nonetheless. And she was off as well, trotting after Kakashi.

We trotted down the street, and with a happy note I looked into the bright, morning sky. The sun had started to rise at last, and it's bright beams could be seen in the distance casting out the shadows.
He's this way. just wait here, I'll only be a second. He knows me well.
I announced confidently, slipping off Black Moon and striding into the small store. A bit of cursing ensued, followed by a few faint crashes and one large explosion, but a minute later I ran out of the building, a map in my hands. Ok, so I hadn't bought it, but things hadn't worked out the way I'd planned. Apparently the mapmaker had recognized me, and he'd probably realized I was the one who'd lifted his prized map a few years back. One of these days I was going to get something honestly.
Mounting Black Moon I turned to Leazra, tossing her the map for safe keeping. With my luck I would loose it, and I couldn't read it anyway.
Ok, pick a town.

Leazra nodded and read. As she was deciding what town to pick, she murmured, "He knows you well, eh? I wondered on what terms..." She smirked at him briefly and looked back at the open map in her hands.
"Here we go," she said. "How about... There." She pointed a town out to Kakashi.
