I smiled and followed her out, watching her stuffed pockets hungrily. She'd had the same idea as me, only she'd been quicker. I liked this girl, she had... skills.
So, where will we be eating... uh, what time is it, anyway?
I asked, strolling along side her leisurely as I continued to eye the pocket.s Hopefully she'd gotten enough to satisfy my hunger.

Once they were out of clear-sight range from the bakery, Leazra tossed Kakashi a couple of rolls. They were small, but a couple of them was enough to satisfy a hungry belly.
The young elvin woman grinned. "It's a little before dawn, I think... Got some time to raid, pillage and plunder! If that's what you do." She laughed.

I fingered the rolls for a few moments, half listening as I looked around anxiously. So many people.
Uh, no wasn't exactly in my plans, but we can make room for that if you want. Could we, uh, find somewhere more secluded to eat?
I asked, not bothering to take the time to ponder whether she was being serious or not. I wanted to eat, and now. It was like a disease, only that thought filled my mind as I caught the faint scent of the rolls, and felt their warmth in my hand. This sucked.

"Well, eat up!" Leazra urged him carefreely. "That roll won't stay ripe ripe forever, you know."
She led him over to a bench in a side alley, where no one was. The buildings were very close to each other, making a narrow space for the alley. There wasn't a sound of human or elf life anywhere nearby. Only a cat in a garbage bin. Leazra sat down, gesturing for Kakashi to sit beside her.

Erm, no, I'll stand, thanks.
I said with a slight shrug moving a bit off and sitting down on the cold earth, eying my bun. I'd already started to loose my appetite, so with I sigh I pulled down my mask, feeling extremely stupid for wanting to hide my face from Leazra so much. I bit into the roll, savoring the sweet flavor and warmth it gave me. I devoured the other quickly, breathing in one last fresh breath before hiding behind my mask again. Wasn't I going to leave all that behind me? Start over, stop running? It didn't seem to be working out that way, did it? Here I was on a revenge mission, and still hiding from the faceless demons.
I stood up, moving over to Leazra again to recline on the bench, my eyes turning to the slowly brightening sky.

Leazra followed his gaze... for a moment. She found her gaze wandering back to Kakashi himself. She admired his body unconsciously-- the mystery behind the mask, the shadows of the past hidden beneath his eyes, even the unfelt feel of the blood on his weapons.
This elf had a story. A story she was surely interested in. "...Why are you out here by yourself, Kakashi?"

Well, there were tow ways I could answer that. I could just push the question aside and say something silly or stupid, or I could really answer it. Didn't I woe it to this girl, this stranger who had decided to follow me without much reason, to tell her the truth? No really, can't you tell me?
Because there's no one left to be here with me.
That felt like a safe answer. I hadn't poured my heart out, I hadn't had to think of my memories or open my heart to sorrow again, but I hadn't acted stupid again.
What about you? You seem to be alone.

"Yeah, I am," Leazra admitted. She then turned to Kakashi again. "No one left to be here with you?"
She felt sorry for the elf who hid himself behind the mask, for a moment. She looked at the ground, studying her reflection in the puddle for a long while.
And then, she turned back to Kakashi. "Well, I guess that's why I'M here with you now!"

Yeah, I guess.
I replied, not very enthusiastic as I continued to watch the clouds. They were gray, and dull, and dreary. I liked them.
I sat in the silence for a few moments, pondering over several ideas and facts and just random things as I waited for daylight to breach. When nothing happened, I lowered my gaze to the wall across from us, and turned to Leazra.
Well, what now?

Leazra turned back to Kakashi, glad to view his mysterious face again. She grinned carefreely. "Well, after you've finished eating, I was hoping you'd enlighten me as to where you are going. I joined YOUR adventure, after all."
She stood and dusted herself off, swallowing a small roll whole. "Wonderful, then. You don't know where you're going?"

Not a clue, really. I'm just looking for someone, but I don't know where he is. And even if I did, they are probably some preparations we have to take before we can get to him. And before you ask, no, I don't know what the preparations are, either, because I haven't found who I'm looking for. I can tell you that he's a powerful mage, though.
I explained, figuring it was probably best to make all this clear now instead of later. Last thing I wanted was so kind of huge blow-up in the middle of battle. I'd seen that happen before, usually with not so pleasant results. Best to get it all over with before the huge, life-threatening mission starts instead of during the huge, life-threatening mission.

Leazra listened to what he had to say, considering each of his words carefully. A mage, mysterious preparations, and a mission... This sounded almost too good to be true for her. This was the type of adventure she had been wishing for, since she grew out of her fantasies within her imagined world of the Castenant(sp?).
"Oh, well..." she said, sounding uncertain. "If that's the case..." She then gave a mischievous grin. "...I'm following you for sure."

Well then, I suppose this is the point where I leap from my feet, say something profound, and run off on my rampage of vengeance. But, since I've just eaten, I fear if I move to quickly I could get sick, and then that whole profound stuff, vengeance rampage would have far less meaning. Plus, in case you haven't noticed, I don't say many profound things. So what does that leave us with? Some idiot sitting on a bench with a hyper-active elf ready to go off and kick some butt. Which then leads us to the issue of who exactly said hyper-active elf is going to beat up, and where we can find this mystery person.
I might have said a bit more then was needed, but I was in the mood for saying things and doing nothing, so that's exactly what I did. For a moment I considered everything I'd rambled on about, and figured out some sort of transportation would probably be wise.
Let's get a horse or two.

Leazra stared at him for a long moment. A funny expression settled itself on her gracefully carved face, and the breeze tickled at her ringlets of hair as she gazed at him. She remained unmoving for a while. And then, she said her OWN most profound statement since she met Kakashi.
"...You're weird. Let's go."

I grunted a reply as I pushed off the bench, stretching sleepily as I my back cracked. That probably wasn't a good sign, but I couldn't really do anything about it, so with a sigh i looked down the street and began to walk.
I was serious, though. Do you want to walk or ride?
I asked, glancing at her from the corner of my eye.
