WASHI
"'Wickedness' doesn’t sound quite right. I prefer 'moral flexibility.'"
>> the basics
Race: Dragon
Age: 29
Sex: male
Affiliations: Refugee
Favorite/Best Power(s):
Racial abilities. Although unable to fly or breathe fire, Washi is incredibly fast on land, in water, and when climbing. He is also able to run long distances easily. His senses are of course, sharp, especially his sense of smell. Since he still has the blood of a fire-breather, he can breathe out a lot of hot gas and smoke which can choke, sting eyes, sear windpipes, or generally be annoying, although this is mostly used as a smoke screen.
Healing. His saliva rapidly speeds up healing. Or rather, the same glands that produce his saliva can also produce a clear liquid that closes cuts and repairs torn flesh. It cannot go as far as repairing broken bones, although it can fill the gap between broken bones with flesh.
Beast communication.
Hand to hand combat.
>> back story
Mate/Spouse: none
Family/Ancestry: His mother is the dragoness Hazme, deceased. His father was some wandering dragon Washi never even knew, and is most likely dead as well.
History:
Hazme was a fire breather; her son wasn’t. It was a bit of a disappointment when all he could do was spew out a cloud of smoke, but his mother loved him all the same. The other dragons in their den in the mountains weren’t of the same opinion, however. Most of them thought he was useless, since fire was used for hunting and flying was integral for life in the mountain tops. As bad luck would have it, Washi took after his vagrant father. This, however, did not stop the young dragon from trying to be useful. He was incapable of flight, but his fluid speed when climbing near-vertical slopes was enough to run down mountain goats. The problem was getting the goat to the den, though, and with his size at the time it was impossible for Washi. Seeing how difficult it was for her son, Hazme decided to return to the lowlands. There, she and her son were taken in by members of the Sanguine Revenge.
For a little while, Hazme was able to keep her son as far away from the affairs of the Revenge for his own safety. However, Washi too wanted to help his mother, and he figured that if rebelling was eventually going to make it unnecessary for dragons to flee to the mountains, then he was up for it. He joined the Sanguine Revenge and worked with them under the tutelage of an elf, Lothlan. Years later, it was this same friend who informed him of the death of his mother, who was killed by the king’s forces. For days, Washi curled up in a cave and refused his meals. It was Lothlan who eventually coaxed him into eating and then leaving the cave.
When the Sanguine Revenge was no more, Washi and Lothlan stuck together. They made ends meet and hid from Blood Members. Lothlan was no model citizen—his methods of earning were thievery and scams—but Washi still looked up to him. After all, Lothlan was the closest he had to a father. He would not be with his ‘father’ for very long, however, because eventually Blood Members found them. Lothlan died during the encounter, but Washi managed to escape. Losing his only friend was a big blow to Washi. But this time, he would not sulk. Lothlan had taught him to always move forward, and move forward he would, in a way that would make the elf proud. The old rascal had taught Washi more than a few tricks, after all.
>> more in depth
Personality:
Washi would work well in a group, normally. He is open and upbeat, and if interested enough he takes the lead or manipulates the leader. Spontaneous and innovative, he doesn't plan very far. He's also a bit of a chatter box, and this can be annoying to some people. Not to mention he can be goofy. He isn't one to get rattled easily, but when he does he is reduced to pathetic whining or crying for his mother.
Morality is a vague concept to Washi. He lies, cheats, steals, and makes cruel jokes, but killing is something he has resolved to never do. He puts himself before others, normally, but in the bleakest of situations he risks his hide for people in danger. He doesn't make it a habit to be nice, though.
>> physical description
Hair: long and black, grows to his waist
Eyes: blue, slanted
Build: lean, of average height
Dragon form:
This is the form most people only ever see. Washi is a relatively small, sleek, black dragon only 7 feet tall when standing on hind legs, 4 feet when on all fours, and 12 feet long from head to tail. On either side of the back of his head are three webbed horns, which fan out when he is angry or suprised. A pair of whiskers hang from his chops like a styled beard.
