At first, Runa found it rather amusing. Her twisted logic helping to feul her mind... soon... soon it simply started to get anoying. She wasn't that bad. And even if she was, she'd made it this far. Her way of life wasn't complicated or cruel. It was a different life. She got out from the carrige and stood behind Guy.
"He can't hear you. But there are others who may." Her voice was plain and simply as she grabbed ahold of Guy's shirt and dragged him back in. This was no place for loosing one's wits. "Get in, or I leave you to die out here. Too many folk roam this parts that wish for death."

Guy knew she was wrong. The peace that passes all understanding began to fill him as he continued to pray. He was saved and nothing could ever change that. He stood up. He felt her cold, unfeeling hand grab at his shirt. She was strong, but he wasn't going to be dragged around. He gently pried her hand off of his shirt and got back into the carriage. He said nothing, jut kept looking at the floor of the carriage.

Runa frowned slightly at his expression, or the fact that he made her let go. But, oh, well. He had enough sence to go back in. Getting in behind him as well, Runa shut the door, and knocked to the driver. The poor man probably had 10 heart attacks by now. Reguardless, after a few moments of hesitation teh carrige began to move once more, rocking gently on the road.
The next hours whent by uneventfull, that is till tehy began to aproach the city. The fields began to have peasants, roads carts traveling to and fro, guards... Runa glanced out the window. What in the bloody world was going on? Since when are here so many guards... or was it that the wizard found out where tehy were going? Then ,that could not be good at all.
"Prapare your self. We'll be at teh palace shortly."

Guy watched the bustle of the busy streets around him. He was looking at all of the surrounding areas, analyzing how vulnerable they were. He nodded to show that he had heard Runa, and rested his hand on the hilt of his sword. He was ready for anything. His mission was to protect Runa at all costs, but he would only kill if necessary.

A couple of minutes later the carridge stopped infront of the palace. Runa closed her eyes for a moment before the carridge door opened.
"Show time." Runa echoed as she stepped out, smoothing out her dress. Unlike Guy... she didn't mind killing. Like him she was ready for anything, and will kill for any reason. The only thing she hated, was the fact that they have got to prettend, and smile, and be everything that they are not.
"Welcome Madam Winters." Some consenior welcomed Runa, whom she easily ignored as she made her way up the stairs towards the opened doors. Oh, the wonderfull theatre of life. Let's see hwo the newbie will do.

Guido stepped out of the carriage and tipped his hat to the consenior as he walked through the door and took his hat off. He followed Runa through the castle. He was to be her body guard, and so he would be. He looked through all of the shadows assessing threats, but so far, nothing appeared dangerous. He walked about a step or two behind her and to the right.

"Ma'am, Sir, this way please, your room is set up. A maid will be in there to assist your preperations in a couple of hours. Your baggage will be up right away, madam. The dinner will begin at sundown." The consenior let the two up a couple of stairs and down a few halls.
The palace was large. Columns, gold, borocco, paintings, and mossaic. Eleborate designs and murals everywhere. Richness of the palace was evident everywhere, and those who were a part of it simply bathed in the schick around them. The man stopped infront of the room, opening the door, and allowing Runa inside.
"Sir, your room is right next to Madam Winters. Both rooms are joined through a door as requested."
"Thank you, you are dismissed." Runa nodded waving to the man, who nodded and left. "Guido... get your butt in here. We've got to go over the plan.... and have you brush up on the royalty."

Guy walked through the door into Runa's room after looking in the general direction of his own room's door. He closed the door behind him and listened as the consenior's steps faded into the distance. He glanced around analyzing possible weaknesses to their security and looked over at Runa. He did all of this in a matter of seconds, being used to looking for areas that may be insecure. After he was assured that no one might be hiding in a corner or trying to listen in on the conversation he said, "So, what's the plan?"

"By the way... there's teh door to your room, you don't have to be longing for your own quarters that much, no lady's waiting." Runa joked with a hint of amuzement. Perhaps slightly cruel, but it was the closest to what she concidered humor... right next to sarcasm and Spirits only know what else. Like him, she threw a glance over the familiar space before walking over to her favorite chair by the fireplace, and sinking into it. The soft pillows of it, felt oooh so nice.
"Come, take a seat. I promise, the chair's don't bite... and if they do, I'll personaly see to their punishment." Runa raised one eyebrow with a hint of a smile... though it did seem like more of a smirk.
"The plan... the plan is simple. We play their royal games. As in, in a couple of hours we get ready, you escort me to the ooh, ever, so lovely dinner, where nothing interesting happens. Save of course, countless amounts of rumors. Those are always fun!" Runa's voice was pracrically dripping with sarcasm as she spoke. "Then the tables will be cleared, and the ball shull begin. I will take the poor Lord out into the garden. Get lost amongst the trees.... and bye, bye will go the Barron. I will then smear some of his blood on the dress and hands, add a couple of rips and tears, the dress was going to get thrown out anyways, and come running back in in tears. I'll cry something about bandits and assasins, and We'll see what else. Chaos, and such breaks loose... and you escort me back, and we leave. Pretty simple, no?" Runa smiled, as her eyes flashed with a near maniacle fire.

Guy stared at her for a moment and wondered how he had gotten himself tangled up in an assassination plot. "What reasons do we have for killing the Baron?" he asked. This wasn't sitting well with his conscience at all. Everything in him told him to get out of there, or try and changer her mind. Both endeavors would be dangerous and in the end futile. He told himself from know on that he would always know what it was he was being employed to do and turn down offers that involved assassinations. It wasn't like he was killing the person, no he was just helping the assassin get away. Unless she had some amazing reason for getting rid of him, he wasn't going to be happy. Of course it didn't totally surprise him that the mission involved killing someone, she did sort of work for Waefae after all.

Runa smiled with an easy shrug. 'Ahhh... good old Sir Engiro. He's a Knight... not a Baron." She corected him off handedly as she thought of a more proper way to explain the situation to him... with out making herself seem like the bad guy. Though, in his eyes she probably was as bad as they come. Probably as bad as the wizard himself. Oh, well.
"Our good old Knight... decided to snoop around a bit too much. He got into business that was not his own, and for that, his head must roll!" Runa made an attept at rhyming, and evidently was pleased with her efford for the soft laughter, before regaining her composure. "He found out about somethings that he really should not have, and that could japardize, quite a few ongoing... events. On both sides." She added quietly, raising one brow. "Now, it is our job to take him out in order for the cards to be played right."

"Ah, he knows to much. Many a person has met a grizzly fate for such a reason. But in who's favor will the cards play out, the Queen's or the Wizard's? It wasn't a great reason, but it did make some sense. He wasn't totally happy about it, but he wouldn't let Runa see that, not like she wouldn't figure it out, but still, it would be better for him if he could fain disinterest.

Runa nodded. "Sadly the cards were not layed in his favor. But, it is not uncommon. In the games of those high above, people are nothing more then pawns." She shrugged simply her eyes going to the fire. Sames of people, games of those above... it was so common for people, from the side, those uninvolved died, as if they were no more then flies. But life is life, nothing more to it, and nothing less. Games are games. They must be played in full.

It appeared that this wouldn't necessarily benefit Waefae, but he had the ability to turn the odds that were against him in his favor. Waefae was not a person you underestimated, and neither were Runa or Queen Isandra for that matter. "What do you think the Queen's reaction will be to this assassination?" he asked. "I ask only to know if I'll be having to fend off her soldiers in any way." He wasn't really on anybody's side at the moment, but he'd already seen what one world did to it's traitors, and he didn't want that label to rest on him.
*side note: I'm confused, you call this man a lord, then a baron, and then a knight, which one is he?*

(He's a knight... but Runa's mocking him... to her all nobility are one in the same)
"The Queen's?" Runa raised one eyebrow as she glanced back over at him with a shrug. "No idea. She maybe pleased, cuz he won't interfere with her plans... or she maybe mad. No way to say. But, don't worry, you won't be under suspecioun...So long as you stay inside." She smiled, as her eyes wondered back to the fire. "Get into a mindless conversation about the weather or somethign with some cute freilin... or noblewoman... it doesn't matter. Be busy. That way, you'll have an exuse. Men are always gullable to a young woman's charm." Runa smiled again. "Tell me of your... simbioyent or what's the face..."
