Name: Nuallan
Race: Half-elf, Half-shade
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Favorite/Best Power(s): Overall spells and charms, along with healing.
Mate/Spouse: Used to have a lover. But then she died.
Family/Ancestry: His closest family member was his sister, Aislin. But she's dead too :D
Titles/Affiliations: Blood Member
Personality: This is always, always, always the hardest part because no matter what I write/say, my charrie always ends up doing some complete turn around from what I wrote/said. But I digress. Here is a rough draft.
Nuallan has had a hard life, and as such he is very quiet, thoughtful, and maybe even depressed. He knows life is hard, and, in his opinion, he is nothing more than a worthless being who does not deserve to be alive. But he keeps on living anyway, only because of his fierce determination which never allows him to give up.
He dwells on things, and is a clear intellectual. He enjoys in complex mind games and puzzles, and is almost always second guessing himself and the actions of others. Rarely does he voice his emotions, and strangers often think he is uncomfortable because of his brief way of speaking. On the contrary, though, Nuallan is only tired, and even lazy.
Physical Description: Nuallan has dark hair which is swept away from his face, and it is startling straight. Rarely does he let it grow past his neck; however, sometimes it surprises him.
The shade half of him, however, is only evident in his hair; Nuallan is dark of face with a sort of swarthy look about him.
He also has glittering, dark eyes that are slightly sunken. These eyes have a certain spark, but only once one searches deeply.
His thin mouth has a thoughtful, almost sinister twitch to it when he smiles, and his flashing white teeth are almost predatory.
Having a rather tall stature, Nuallan has a broad back as well, giving him a rather large body overall. He frequently is garbed in a simple riding breeches and tunic, and his sword, dubbed Ailisn after his dead sister, is always on his belt, regardless of what he is wearing. Nuallan has charmed said sword so it almost has a mind of its own, and aids him through battles, as his own skills at swordplay aren't fantastic.
History: ((this is the longest history I have ever written. If you don't read it, I understand, haha. If you do read it, get comfortable))
Nuallan grew up living a normal, middle-class life until he hit the age of fifteen. After that began what he calls the Age of Misery.
He was brought up with the right morals; don't steal, don't kill, all that jazz. His parents were already old at his birth, as he had been an unexpected 'accident'. His sister was already fourteen when he was born, and as such an idol for much of his life. Eventually, his father succumbed to mortality, followed by his mother. At thirteen, Nuallan was left an orphan.
But his sister was there to care for him. She continued raising him with the same upbringing his parents had given him of knowing the line between good and evil, and avoiding anything that might be associated with being tainted. After living with her for one year, Nuallan and Ailisn had a bond that was completely unbreakable. Even in death, she told him, their love would go on.
Everything seemed to turn on him, though, when he was walking home one night to find two men beating another man to death for reasons unknown to Nuallan. Though he was barely fifteen at the time, Nuallan managed to chase them off from the man, only to find a corpse lying on the ground. Walking away with guilt weighing heavily on his heart, Nuallan had no idea what a grave mistake he had made.
The murdered man had been a soldier for the corrupt king, and the Sanguine Revenge had been killing him in order to follow through with an assassination plot. And Nuallan had gotten in the way. They immediately thought him a follower of the king, perhaps even an undercover spy. In the eyes of the Suedos, Nuallan saw something he wasn't meant to see, and needed to be killed.
Within a few days, he returned home to find his sister sprawled on the ground, dried blood staining the ground, her dark eyes fogged over with the mist of death. And a bloody wound through her stomach. The Suedos had been forced to kill her because of her refusal to give information.
Running away, Nuallan lived life largely in seclusion, obsessed with one thing and one thing only. Bringing his sister back to life. His magical skills were advanced, and he was sure that if he thought on it enough, he could resurrect Ailisn.
And then he met a young girl called Liadain. As the story often goes, they fell in love, and Nuallan began to live publicly once more. A normal life, even. All thoughts of resurrection were almost forgotten.
Until he discovered Liadan's secret. She was related to the king, and as such was deemed an enemy of the Suedos. They managed to keep her identity secret for a decade until the word slipped, and he came home to a nightmare similar to when Ailisn died. Liadan had been murdered.
Vowing to exterminate any Suedo who crossed his path, Nuallan was dismayed to find the previous king overthrown, Queen Isandra taking his place. But then a new rebellion formed; the Blood Revenge. And Nuallan pledged his life on said rebellion.
((Jeezum, that was long o.O;; lo siento!))
