=When darkness turns to light, it ends tonight=
I laughed nervously, rubbing the back of my bloody neck as I glanced around at the twilight world.
Funny thing, that. Knowing where you're going and all...
I muttered, trying to decide in which direction to go first. It wasn't like I knew where the town was, I'd only heard of it form some rouges I'd eavesdropped on a few days ago. This world was just as alien to me as I imagine it was to Sheila. Not all of my time in hiding was done voluntarily.

Sheila's eyes narrowed. "...You have no idea where you're going either, do you?" she accused him.
She sharply turned around. And then again in another direction. And finally, back to Kakashi. She was most displeased, as could be seen... even though her expression seemed displeased no matter what.
"...I believe it would just be smart if we increased our distance between us and that city back there first," she proposed.

Wow, brilliant idea, I would have never thought of that myself.
I marked sarcastically, experimentally stretching my arms over my head. I wasn't really tired, in fact, it was pretty much the opposite. My adrenaline was still pumping, and I wanted to get going, but boredom seemed to be the only emotion I could convey at that point. Maybe somewhere deep inside I was trying to look tough, like I wasn't worried about the entire situation or something. Ha, if only that were true. I had to admit it was a bit exciting though, to get back into action like this. Bob and grizzly bears had their appeal, but only for a few moments.

"Yes, which is why I proposed it," Sheila said idly.
Without another word, she picked a direction and began to sprint easily across the plains. The fresh, late-night breeze felt cool against her pale skin, which seemed to glow as the pale silve light from the moon reflected off of it.

Oh, she was good. We'd probably be able to spend ours trading various insults with each other. I then wondered for a moment how far I would have to run to hide from her.
Must we run?
I moaned, sprinting after her gingerly, lagging more then a bit behind.
Just pick a ridge and let's walk there. You were up in that tree for an hour, so if anyone was following us, you would have seen them. I doubt we're being followed, let's just, you know, relax.
I added, though that's not entirely how I felt. I wanted to run, but for reasons I believed obvious it was becoming less and less of an option as time went by.

Sheila took in a very deep breath as she slowed herself down. She was not used to having to walk across such a vast amount of space. She wasn't even used to walking in the limits of the city she left behind.
But in order to keep her new companion in pace with her, she forced her eager legs to slow to a walking pace. It was hard at first, but she got used to it... sorta.

So put the weight on my shoulders And pain in my heart. Tie the knots in my stomach And let them tear me apart.
As I watched them from the silent shadows, their words floated to my ears. I tilted my head toward them, the movement slow, almost cautious. I could see the both of them now, easily with my good eye. I was crouched, not far from them, down the trail, my hood thrown over my bright red hair. I know I smelled of blood, as well as dogs, which caused for my caution. I knew nothing of their skills, whether they had the capability to send my into death again, and so I drew my knife, readying myself. Maybe they knew I was here, maybe not. But the rush of the kill flooded my veins anyway, longing to be quenched of its bloodlust. I knew the feeling well, and was almost ready for it. Still, it took me by surprise, a wolflike call of battle escaping my mouth before I could control myself.

Thank you.
I muttered, moving closer so we walked together.
I kept my eyes on the horizon, reasonable disappointed by the flat, grassy terrain which seemed to stretch on forever. Like rolls of my imaginary ocean, the tall foliage seemed to break before us, closing behind us as if we had never trod there at all.
Hey, that looks promising.
I remarked, lifting my finger and pointing to a far line of rocks. Actually it didn't look promising, but I was getting tired of walking around aimlessly, and wanted something to focus my attention on. And I guess, technically, they were boulders.

A flying Monkey/hippo/hoof/toenail/centipede flies towards you and shoves a taco up your nose.

(*snorts the taco* *is high*)
Sheila shrugged. Apparently, she didn't care where they went, as long as they ended up somewhere. "Lead the way, since you think you know where you're going."

ooc; *kills monkey/hippo/hoof/toenail/centipede and eats taco*
So put the weight on my shoulders And the pain in my heart. Tie the knots in my stomach And let them tear me apart.
I felt an insane smile creep onto my face as I left my perch, my short, crude knife in my hand. I stood on the boulders, my arms crossed and my eyes blazing. I felt a kind of high before I killed, or even fought, and I'm sure it's adrenaline. I imply stared at them, a maniac, animal light in my eyes.
' What brings the two of you here? ' I asked, my voice taking on the icy, hardened edge it so often had. A voice of one who was tortured, beaten, broken repeatedly. " Monster, " as so many had called me.

ooc: ((-shakes head- oh, gosh...))
The voice hit me like cold water, and it felt like I switched into an all new gear. The world didn't fade away this time, my vision didn't turn red, and my blood didn't boil. It was almost the opposite, a feeling I hadn't felt in a long time. Not since I had betrayed the Revenge had I felt so aware, so ready for something.
What brings you and your puny little knife here?
I asked, narrowing my eyes at him for once instead of Sheila. He wasn't the kind of person I would normally screw with, but I could still feel the energy from the club fight coursing through me, waking me up to the world again.

Sheila seemed less tense in comparison to the tension she showed during her fight with Kakashi. However, her glare hardened at the sight of this stranger who stood before them. He posed a threat to at least one of them.
She listened for his words.

So put the weight on my shoulders And the pain in my heart. Tie the knots in my stomach And let them tear me apart.
I remained poised, feeling my maniac grin only spread. I dropped to a crouch suddenly, keeping my knife held ready, but now nearly invisible. Again, the same rush, but huI lurched forward slightly, gaining my control before I attacked. I stared at the two of them, hoping for a fight, and yet wanting to leave.
It seems my human self wasn't agreeing with my actions.
' I have free rein to go where I like, ' I said, bitterness more than evident in my words. Again, it seemed like someone was hinting that they could control me, though it is impossible. I can't even control myself.

=Things aren't the way they were before, you would even recognize me anymore= =Not that you knew me back then, but it all comes back to me in the end=
I had the odd feeling that a cliche was going to appear in this conversation soon.
Well, so do we. Now, if you don't mind, me and my... companion here were planning on resting in the little boulder patch, and, no offense, but we'd prefer you weren't here. Or, I'd prefer. Can't really speak for her, but I can say I really don't like you, mostly since we've said, what, about five words to each other, and it's quiet clear to me your intentions are anything but harmless.
I explained as clearly as I could, reaching behind my back to my second set of weapons, just in case. In fact, I had quite an array of weapons on my person, I usually just preferred my sword. Not only was it easy to reach, but, I had a certain emotional attachment to the thing. Don't ask how, just know I did.
=I tried so hard, and got so far= =But in the end it doesn't even matter=
