This place was secluded from the compound, beyond the watchful eyes of the men serving me and my... companions. Enemies, I'd rather call them. My fellow commanders are evil little back stabbers, just like myself. You'd think we'd get along. And that was sarcasm, for the record.
So, here I was, then, walking alone in the forest. with shadows around me like a blanket to conceal myself. They were my comfort, these dark places. I felt... connected to them, if you will. For various reasons, of course, which I have little intent to relay to you.
It's to quiet...
I moaned, starring up at the dappled sky, black leaves blocking much of the azure ceiling. I like my shadows, but did it always have to be so dark?

Night. It always seemed to have a way at making her feel better. Now matter how bad of a mood she was in. The darkness seemed to stretch that bad mood so thin that it broke way into a calming one, and this night was like all the others she had spent here. Calming.
She walked alone in the forest, nothing was idfferent to her inthis darkness, it was all the same, all the same calming feeling that she enjoyed mare than anything else. But tonight there was something different, it was suffocatingly different. There was another pressnese here. Something she was not used to.
Normally she would be in another woods, another forest, another darkness, but not tonight, tonight she had wandered into the unknown, not knowing who or what she would find. Then she felt it closer now, it was alive and it was moving, closer to her. There was familiarity in this pressence, like something inside her was inside this as well. She looked below her, from her place in the trees she could see somoene, and then hear something.
It's to quiet...
She watched this figure from her perch. She could not see his face, for it was masked, and she could not see much else abot him, for like her, he was clad in black. Hmmm... Interesing... She thought to herself. She would stay here for now, to see if this unknown creature could sense her pressnece or not.

It was to quiet, I had said, and we all know what that means. It means just aroundt he conrer, just around the next bend, lies something in wait. Or, in my case, it was far above me danger hailed. And once again, as I scoured the black above me, I was thankful for my teacher's lessons about always be aware. Ten years of "pay attention!" had done wonders for me, and I had the scars to proove just how important that lesson was.
I snatched a tibbit of a thought, echoed ont eh edge of my mind. My mind reading powers were far from usefull, but every now and then a small thing leaks through. And apparently, I was interesting.
Why don't you come down and find out just how interesting I am?
I remarked, slidding backwards and leaning against a tree.

She felt his eyes rise to meet her gaze upon him. Luckily for her, her cloak did a wonderous job of masking her face in the shadows. She smirked as she heard his words. Well, seems he could read minds, or at least small tidbits of thought.
She was down. There was no 'coming down' about it. She was in the tree and then she was on the ground, facing this masked man, seconds had not passed and she was down. She smirked, her icy eyes looking him over once again, he was as before to her, masked and clad in black. But something caught her this time. His eyes. They were lavender and the almost took her breath away... If she had any that is. Being what she was, breathe was not needed.
She stared into his eyes for a moment more than she usually would. Something she was not too proud about either, luckily with her face hidden in the darkness and her eyes not seen through the thinck shadows she enjoyed so much, her facila expression was not seen. This was good for her, because she could feel her face contorting into a look of slight shock at his eyes, before moments later placing her stone like and cold emotionless look back on.

It felt like eyes were stairing at me, but I ignored the thought. There was no time to really consider what she was thinking, only what she was doing. Despite that conviction, though, I realized I was senidng my mind out, trying to touch on her thoughts. I hadn't yet acheived that.
Talented.
I muttered, feinting that I was unimpressed. I was, actually. She seemed more than talented, she seemed powerful. And to me, anyy kind of power is a threat. My own mindset I treat her as such, ro at least watch and expect an attack.

She watched his eyes for another moment or two, ttempting to look away, but not being able to, or only being able to for a few seconds before her gaze was averted back to his. There wa something drawing her in about him, something familiar in it all. She closed her eyes and reverted herself back to the calm andcold state she had been moments before meeting his gaze.
"Talented?"She said with a smirk. "You ain't seen nothing yet." She felt the wind blow past them, as if it was an invisible barrier locking them in their current position, rather than allowing them to get closer to one an other. She clenched her fist softly, feeling the wind blow over it. He seemed to be on his guard, this did not bother her, for she may not look like it, but she was on hers as well... He was a stranger... And he would be a dead stranger if he tried anything.

I got the sense she was confident. That was good, for a cocky foe is an easily defeated one. Though I wouldn't go so far as to say she was confident I wouldn't try something, but I think she was underestimating my own power. She was free to do so, though. I had no desire to prove myself to this stranger.
My eyes gently sloped to the side, as if I could find the source of this ill-timed wind. There was nothing but the black beyond the the closer trees, and even those seemed dark and distant at this time.
Oh, would you care to show me then?
I asked quietly, focusing on things far away.

Seems he was thinking on something. She almost chuckled when she caught wind of a train of thought she knew to be his. So, he thought she underestimated him, which was not true... She knew his power, she could feel it...
She felt the wind die down in an instant as she heard his words. Was it coincidence that this happened? Or fate? And what had brought this lavender eyed creature to her? Or more so, what had brought her to him? She smirked and chuckled darkly. "I am not particularly in the mood to prove myself to a complete stranger... Who could undoubtedly give a god fight that even I do not know the outcome of..." She said, offering to him that she knew he was powerful and that she did not know who would win if they actually got into a fight, this was if anything a compliment to his and her strengths.
As the wind had died down, she still caught a scent that made her realize what he was, or at least what he was partially. He was a Shade, and most likely another species... Like her. She was mixed with Shade and Lux Vampire, though she did not get from his scent that he was that combination. This made her smirk grow. They had something in common, though she would not put that out there in the open, since it was merely species they had in common and nothing else; well, unless one counts the darkness and power they each held. And out of all the things she had gotten from him this far, seems they had more in common than not.
She did not move as she watched him in the night. He seemed to be looking onto some far off place, as if his mind was wandering there to keep himself company and not to keep himself calm. And she was fine with that, whatever was leading him to look beyond her put her at ease more, she did not know why, maybe it was his eyes, and his gaze, that seemed to stare deeper within her than any she had come across, almost as if he saw beyond the darkness hiding her and to what and who she was, something few lived to see. This irked her, so as long as his gaze was not upon her, she was content. For now.

Ah, then it appears I was mistaken. I remarked, dipping my head in acknowledgment. We seem to respect each other equal, then that should make this easy.
I held on to a tense smile beneath my mask, eyes crinkling as I slowly turned and looked back at my guest. I looked her over once more, assessing her threat, her weapons, if she had any hidden...
A dagger slid out from my sleeve, finding it's place in my gauntleted hand and glittering eagerly. It waited for a fresh crimson coating, the silver blade urging action. The weapon seemed to have a heart colder then me.
Maybe you would like to tell me, then, what you're doing in this forest?
I asked, keeping any anger or suspicion far from my mind and voice. It would only serve to make the air tense with withheld blood lust and rage, which ultimately led to someone's death, or injury, at the least. She was indeed correct it in predicting the outcome was uncertain.

She nodded in agreement, taking this moment to close her eyes and reassess herself, to calm herself even more. She then looked back to him, finding his gaze once more. "Yes..." She stated simply. No need to draw out the almost certain answer that had come, she was not one for intimate and detailed speaking, though she was raised with eloquence she did not find it needed much in the world of Chaos and blood lust.
She felt a presence in him, a hidden force within the darkness he was enfolded in... He was hiding something. A weapon? It was a possibility... She was certain it was something along those lines. She would allow it to pass for now, seeing as he made no attack, yet.
She let a blade slide from her robes and to her hands with ease as she spoke to him, letting her voice reign nonchalant. "I was simply wandering in the darkness, as I do more often than not... And I happened upon a place I had never been..." She looked to him again. "I meant not harm in coming here, I was simply bored and found a new place to be rather interesting." She said in a rather off handed tone.
