Personality: Unlike the vast majority of her ancestors, Isandra is not evil. Although she is not an overly perky or happy person, she has a good heart and is very selfless. She cares deeply for her people and desires their approval and loyalty. Isandra has a good sense of humor, but rarely has time for it now. She spends most of her time being serious and handling matters for the kingdom.
Physical Description: Overall, Isandra is often considered a very lovely woman. She has long wavy hair, a very deep auburn that falls to the middle of her back; she almost always wears it down, except for on special occasions. Her eyes are a golden amber, and set against a lightly tanned complexion. Her ears are the average pointed variety. In wolf form, Isandra has the same colors: her eyes are amber and her furr is a dark auburn.
History: Isandra is the daughter of an elf named Veroncia, who was the sister of the former King Sladdick. When Veroncia was a young woman, she had a romance with a shade named Salvanzo. Out of their union came Isandra, the first illegitimate child in the line that came from a royal woman. Sladdick and Veroncia's father, Bartolo, was furious. And so to the old king, Isandra was a horrendous stain on the family tree.
Since Veroncia was quite a bit old when she had Isandra (at least she was considered old in this time and place) and her little brother Sladdick was younger, they both had children around the same time. Isandra was about a year old when her cousin Mirage was born. Although they spent their early years in the same palace, Isandra was considered of lower rank than her cousin, and so was not often allowed to play with her. She barely noticed when her cousin left.
Besides having a rather unloving father and uncle, Isandra grew up well. Her father, the shade, was sent to be executed but escaped, and Isandra has never met him. Veroncia loved her daughter very much, and was as much a friend as a mother. Unfortunately the dear princess developed a fever and past away just after Isandra's seventeenth birthday.
Isandra, now with no reason to live at the palace, went and lived in her mother's country home. She lived in great peace there, growing up to be a very educated woman, and someone who very much enjoyed nature. She frequently went riding through the woods and dozed by the waterfall.
Then one day, a messenger on horseback came to her home and gave her a note: she was being summoned to the palace. Having grown up away from that world and not being in touch with it, she had no idea why they were calling upon her. Imagine her surprise when she was told she was to be queen. She learned that Mirage would have been queen had she not committed treason by killing her father. And so being the only one left in the line, Isandra became queen.
