...even when I don't f e e l it
Name: Kal
Race: Elf
Age: 28
Favorite/Best Power(s): He can control light. Like, make it more intense, make clouds part to bring in the sun, ect.
Mate/Spouse: None
Family/Ancestry: disowned
Titles/Affiliations: Grey Company Leader
Personality: Well, depressed, basically. Kal isn't a very happy elf. He doesn't really want to be depressed, no, but int he quite moments it seems it always the bad memories that return. Perhaps because there are so many of them. But when not mulling over past lives, her can act like quiet a gentleman. Unless you annoy him, then he just gets sarcastic and cynical. He isn't the kind to do something funny on purpose, unless it's for a bet, or he's the best of friends with you. Or he really likes you, that too. He can get a bit giddy if he really likes you. And he is also, unfortunately, easy to get drunk. Keeps his wits about him, yeah, but the hangovers are horrible. He is also a bit prideful and judgment... and critical of others. He enjoys leading people, but sometimes wishes he could just fade away and end his responsibilities.
Physical Description:
His hair is a unique grey-blue, thanks to a wizard's spell. His eyes are silver, accenting his hair well. His face looks... elvish. Rectangular, yet sharp features. He has a long nose and high cheeks, and eyes that look rather sorrowful. That always changes when he smiles, though, almost as if he has to sides, the normal one and the emo side.
He wears a dark blue vest with a low neck, and below that a crisp, white short shirt. The shirt usually soon turns brown, yes, like all things which are brought on the road. Beneath this, though, he wears well crafted dwarvish chain mail. The metal is white, a special compound called Dirmeal. He also has gauntlets to match, the metal amazingly soft yet hardy. He also wears the classic brown boots, completing the image.
He has two swords, single-edged blades which rest on his back. He also conceals a dagger down his boot.
History: Kal is not originally from this land, he came over the see as a baby with his fleeing family. Because of that, he doesn't exactly fit the Forinasian description of an elf. But, anyway, where he came from the elves were all rather... obsessed with nature and trees. Kal was expected to take the same interest in these things as his older sister, younger sister, and parents had. Well... he didn't. In fact, his older sister soon found she enjoyed the city more then the forest, and left during the night. When Kal was around ten, we was wandering around the forest, and came upon a wolf. The creature attacked him, and in self-defense Kal killed it. His bather went berserk, because back in their land it was highly forbidden to kill anything for any reason. The situation got so horrible that Kal's father decided he would take execution, the crime for such an action, into his own hands. Kal wisely fled that night.
So now, a young boy, in a strange land, fleeing from his family and the few other refugees who had come, found himself alone. Kal became rather resourceful, and eventually made enough money to change his hair color and help disguise himself. The Mage he hired tricked him, though, and held him captive for many years, doing unspeakable things to the boy. When Kal was sixteen, he escaped with the help of a mysterious young boy, who he never learned the name of, or even saw the face of.
Kal did not join the Revenge, for he figured it was not his fight. He saw himself as a stranger in this land, and sat quietly by like a spectator as it crumbled apart. Where he went, what happened to him, and other such things only he knows. All that is known is that he became very depressed, on the verge of suicide. But, so fortunately, the change of hands with the government brought about a decision. He wasn't going to stand by and watch the land pull itself apart again, especially not if he was going to get dragged into the fighting anyway. He, apparently, knew someone, who turned over the secretive Grey Company to Kal. That was last year, and now Kal is ready to bring the band out into the public.
