Stepping lightly through the forest Tager's eerie blue eyes scanned to forest before resting still dead ahead of him, to many he would look unprepared for an attack, but they would be deadly mistaken. With his excellent hearing and smell, he tended to pick up on the presence of anyone, way before they did his. Even the elves who walked so softly couldn't evade his sense of smell.
Not even knowing where he was going Tager continued his track through the forest, enjoying the darkness that surrounded it, and the sense of danger that seemed to lurk around every corner. Yet nothing seemed to appear. Almost as if whatever was sending the feel was running, or maybe they where scared of him, smiling maliciously at that thought Tager's white pointed teeth flashed slightly even in the darkness. While most would say he was imagining the feeling, or say he was stupid to not turn the other way for Tager the danger thrilled him, besides, more often then not it was his imagination. Leaving him angry and annoyed as he realized such, being slightly mad he never wanted to admit he had been wronge about anything.

Jade closed her eyes, but her ears were wide open. She heard every crackling twig, every rustling leaf. The air was still with no disturbance from the wind, and she was able to hear even the slightest noises.
Which is how she knew the man was approaching. Jade opened her eyes warily and sat perfectly still on her branch. She always rested on branches, for the sake of staying out of reach of whatever ground dwelling animals there may be; the tree climbing ones were not quite as common, and the trees were too dense for most fliers.
She leaned forward slightly, her sparkling silver eyes unblinking. Her hands gripped the branch a bit tighter as she saw the fainest shadow moving, a bit far off. She frowned slightly. What kind of person (well, you know, besides her) walked through the forest at night, alone? The answer: someone too stupid to know any better... or too strong enough to have to worry. The first she could handle. As for the second... it depends.
But for now she'd just watch and wait. After all, few thought to look up.

Still a ways off from the tree Tager froze and took a deep breath, noticing the change in smell, oh yes, something was here, as for what, or where, that was just part of the chase. Beginning to walk once agina his walk was slower more delibirate, while his eyes stayed directly forwards. Listening closely for any sound he resisted the urge to frown as he heard nothing, leaving few choices, either they where already gone, an elf, or extremly good at stealth. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath, while whatever it was, was out of his hearing, and out of his sight, they still weren't completely out of his senses.
Continueing his treck forward he managed to get a few steps ahead of the tree before frowning and stepping back, the smell ended around here, meaning they where still around here. Looking around his frown deepened. So full of himself, and determined that most where inferior, it did not even dawn on him that they would be sitting in a tree, after all they would have to be inteligent to do that. "Hmmm," he said thoughtfully, as he continued to look around the tree.

Jade watched silently, realizing the man knew she was in the general area. And scarily enough, he knew which tree. But he had yet to look up.
Barely even breathing, Jade just watched the scene, not sure how she wanted to make her move. She could stay where she was, hoping he wouldn't think to look up or if he did it would be too dark, or not take the chance he'd see her and just get away.
Either way, she wanted to be prepared for attack. Without taking her eyes off of the man, she pulled a dagger from her belt and continued to watch. She was amazed that he hadn't heard her heart beating; it seemed so loud.
The screech of an owl broke the silence and Jade flinched, her foot scraping the bark for the slightest second as she almost lost her balance. She froze, hoping nearly that the man had not noticed.

Trying not to growl in annoyance at the fact that he couldnt find whoever was around Tager walked around the tree, a small frown planted firnly on hsi face, his eyes narrowed angryly, he wanted to find whoever it was, no one was supose to be able to hide from him, no one.
Standing still at the bottom of the tree Tager closed his eyes, focusing all of his thoughts on his hearing and smell, hoping to locate the person that way. It was thanks to this idea, that he ws paying enough attention, to hear the small scraping sound on the bark, looking up his imediatly noticed the woman in the tree his blue eyes standing out in the vivid darkness below as he just looked at her, an emotionless face on now that he had located her, he would wait for her to make the first move.
