In the stillness of the night she was the movement in the trees, the wind did not whip at her as she glided along the branches and off into the night. Her hood was placed elegants atop her head, sheilding her face from any prying eye.
She slowed to a stop at the tree closest to the falls. The rain had left behind an eerie mist that covered the ground in about three feet of white. She could hear the sound of the rumbling falls in front of her, and the sound of the night birds behind in the forest. She was a peace here, in the darkness, in the shadows of night.
She jumped from the branch that she had stopped and landed softly on the ground, her feet making virtually no sound as she landed with grace and ease. She looked on at the waterfall, the water creating even more mist as it flowed from the top of the cliff.
She could hear all around her in the night, yet she felt lost in her own reality, in her own soul, she stayed in the darkness she found there, for it was her home, in a world of Chaos she found peace in her darkness...

The water crashes around me as I come up for air. Dear Gods this is freezing. I do not think that it helps that I already run twenty degrees below normal. I push my hand out of my face, the thick red strands stick to my face, my back. There's so much of it, I am considering cutting it.
The smell of a woman floods over me. Shit. I look up, and am instantly self-concious. I step behind a rock, shivering. How weak must I look, dear Zeus. Not exactly the most intimidating man in the world, if you do not notice that hardly an inch of my skin does not have a single scar on it.

Jayden felt the aura before she heard the splash. It sent a chill down her spine that literally screamed, Immortal. She blinked for a moment and regained her compsure as she looked on at the man who had just emerged from the water.
She smirked and to a step to the side as to better see through the mist, well, wasn't he a strong one, she thought to herself as her smirk stayed elegant placed on her lips, though her face was hidden. She looked at him, taking in his form, she let a soft and dark chuckle escape her lips.
"I did not expect someone to be batheing at this hour..."She said softly, her voice like she shadows that she dwelled in. Tonight was turning out to be very interesting.

"The hour? It is hardly midnight, and not even that late at yet."
I laugh a little, albeit nervously. Well, not... nervous... just... uncertain. I walk into deeper water, at least covering most of myself.
"Have you ever learned not to spy on people?" I ask, croosing an arm over my chest and resting an elbow on my wrist.

She chuckled once again. He was turning out to be rather amusing, this one. She looked to the side slightly, her head tilting just so, not enough to reveal any of her face thought. She smirked."Yes, but even at this hour, in this forest, it is odd to see someone bathing..." She turned her gaze one again to him.
His body was covered in scars, this man had seen many a battle, as had she, but she, though scarred, was not as covered as he, but this did not bother her, a man who had scars was a man who knew battle and a man whom was strong enough to live through it. Man? Why did she keep refering to him as such, he was no mere man, he was an Immortal, far more wonderous than a man.
She almost chuckled at he feeble attempt to cover himself, he was an interesting one, she would give him that. She nodded. "I was not spying, I was simply passing through and I felt your pressence, and then you were there... So I made my pressence known." She smirked. "Not that you did not already know I was here the moment your emerged from the water..." She said. He had to know that she knew what he was, and if he did not, then he must still think her human, which she was not.

"Yes, I will say that I knew you were there. I would have heard your heartbeat from further away, but the waterfall is damnably loud..."
What? No, I did not just say that. Am I truly that stupid, to say what my senses cannot detect? I can see that she is not human; it is in her voice, in the very smell of her. And in the way that she carries herself. Humans are usually afraid of me; most creatures are usually afraid of me. But she does not seem so... Strange. Very, very strange. I run my fingers down the tattoos along my jaw, simply watching her. Very near testing to see if she would falter under my gaze that I have been told seems to peer into one's soul.

She had to smirk at this, he seemed to think she had a heartbeat, this was rather amusing. She may be half Shade, but she was half Lux Vampire as well, and as everyone knows, Vampires do not have beating hearts. He must think that the reason he did not detect a heartbeat was because of the falls, but in reality there was no heartbeat to detect.
She took another step forward, her feet coing about 2 feet from the waters edge. Her eyes taking in his own, as she stared into them, she felt a chill run down her spine, a chill, she did not show. She watched as he stroked the markings on his jaw, as the crimson strands of his hair stuck to his body, she liked his hair, it was only a little darker than hers, but of course, the hood and cloak she wore made it impossible for him to see her hair color, or her face for that matter.
She looked back to his eyes just then, a smirk replaceing the simple tone of her lips as she spoke. "You did not detect my heartbeat... Because I have none..." She wa sure now that he would understand at least partially what she was. This would be fun.

"Ah. I see. A vampire. Well, that does make this interesting," I say, my face twisting into an almost evil smile. Then it fades, swiftly and deftly, as if it were never there.
I pull another strand of hair away from the only eye that I have vision out of, and watch her. The darkness around her face annoys me; I generally enjoy to at least see the face of those who- to put it bluntly- see me naked. However, if this whole place here that dark, I could see her just fine. I am truly that sensative to light. It is a bit vexing when I am trying to sleep the very little that I do.
I glance at the wonder, and realize how crystal clear it is. Damnit. I pull my hair around my shoulders- bless the length of it- and the sigh. I suppose it does not really matter anyway. I glance at my clothes. So far away... lying just to her left. Well, if she decides to try and kill me, I am dead. My knives are over there. Next time, I will not be so foolish.

She almost chuckled at this. He thought her a simple vampire, and he still found her interesting, he an immortal... The Prince's and Princess' of Darkness... Thought her, whom he also believed to be a mere vampire, to be interesting. Well, he was due in for a surprise then, when he found her not only to be a Lux Vampire, but a Shade as well...
She looked to his body once more, breathtaking it was, she had to admit, it was the first time she had seen a man naked and it could not have been a more perfect man. This was turning out to be a lovely evening... Night... Whatever.
She looked from him to where his eyes adverted to, his clothes. He seemed to have left them too far from his reach, along with his weaponry... Not a smart move in this forest, or anywhere for that matter... She decided to give him a break and turned from him, she kept her senses heightened as to sense his movements, not wishing to be stabbed in the back at this moment, but her eyes were on the forest, giving him at least a little privacy to get dressed in.
She could sense a slight irritation with the fact that he could not see her face. He seemed to not like it, well, tough for him then, she was not one to go around and show her face to random strangers, no matter how handsome they were naked.

Swiftly, I slide out of the water a dress, my body not much more than a white-blue blur. I try and catch a glimpse of her face, and fail. Miserably. I adjust my coat on my shoulders, now far more comfortable. And I realize- quite uncomfortably- that I have absolutely... Nothing to say. Nothing I could say, and nothing that would not make me seem a fool. I am grateful for the privacy though, being horribly self-concious. "Thank you," I say, bending slightly at the waist in the semblance of a bow. What? No, why in all the hells did I do that? I stand up hurriedly, trying to cover my movements. You are no longer a slave, Kazeielan. Stop acting a one.

She did not watch his movements, only sensed them. She felt his body as he moved. When she knew he was clothed she turned back to him, knowing he felt better.
She knew he must have tried to see her face, as all men do... As anyone she comes in contact with does. They find her too mysterious for their own good... But this does not generally bother her, she enjoys the fact that no one can see what she looks like. She likes the privacy, the only person besides her family that had ever seen her face was Nathanial.
She stopped. Nathanial. Why was it now she could say his name and it still stopped her in her tracks... Still rendered her immobile for a moment. Why did he still, after all these years, still hold a sway over her. He was no longer around, her wounds were healed, the scars on her body visible only to those who have seen her. So why is she still so affected by him? Was it that he was an immortal? Like this one here, this self concious man...
She shook her head softly as his thoughts tampered with her own. She looked to him, wondering if she should thank him, thank him for getting her mind out of that era in her life. She decided against it, and only to touch on the thoughts he carelessly let escape from him. "So, you were a slave then?" She asked. "Is that where you got the scars?" She asked another question... Conversation. Not one of her strong points, it always came off as interigation.

"I... how...?" I get control of my unruly tongue again and compose myself. My face is setteled into its mask again, and I nod.
"Yes, a... slave. Of sorts," My eyes focus not on her, but on a faraway thought as my left hand rubs the scar around my wrist, and then travels up to the one around my throat. "Many of my scars I did get there."
So, many, many of them. All the fighting, all the killing, it started because of that place. Because of the entertainment of others. It makes a fire come into my eyes, a bitterly tortured fire. Ah, the King of Angst.

She smirked and pointed to her head, as if saying; Vampire, mind reader, duh. She knew he could not see her smirk... And this amused her more.
She watched his hand, her own sliding into the folds of the bodice she wore underneath the cloak, making sure the dagger there, suspended between her chest, was still intact. Her movements were quick and agile, in the many folds of the robe, he would not be able to tell her hand moved at all, unless his sight was keener than she thought.
She nodded. "Scars are something I know much about..." She said. She looked at his eyes. She gasped silently. They caught her off guard. She gazed into them, almost transifxed by the fire in them.
The wind began to swirl around her and she paid not heed to it, a mistake. She was not keeping a careful hand on her hood as the wind blew... The air flowed around her and swept her hood from her face, revealing what she had kept a secret for many years.
Her hair was like the fire in his eyes, the wind blowing it behind her, a few strands comsing across her face, her pale and porclein face. Her eyes, they were like ice, so cold that it was said she could turn a man's heart to stone with just one look. Her lips were slightly pale, but they were visible, a soft and subtle pink. The contours and lines of her face were mature but young, she looked to be twenty one.
She stood still as she felt the hood be cast from her face and the night open, she looked to him still, her eyes still on his, waiting for his next move, now that she was unshelided, her face ad been seen. She fought back the urge to turn and re-dawn her hood, that would be foolish, for no doubt he had taken in her face, she would not be surprised if he had already commited it to memory...
She had made a mistake in looking into his firey eyes, a mistake she would not allow to happen again, he had renedered her immobile. His eyes, they were so strong, so dark, and so full of hate. His eyes reminded her too much, of Nathanial's.

Her face. My god, that face. So. Oh my God. My mouth opens a little, letting out one of my steady breaths through my lips. I can feel myself relax, and a fearful calmness come over me. And a tingling- a powerful urge- that I have not felt in so horribly long.
It takes almost more effort than I can manage to tear my eyes away from her face. Still, just one more look at those icy eyes... I feel my gaze drawn upward, and I do not fight it. This time, breath does not come, instead it is caught in my throat. I drop them again, this time closing the lids.
"I am sorry that I stare..."

This was different. She had not felt this before, she had not known this in many years. Her mind did not jut back to simply Nathanial, no, but to her entire family, their words on her looks, on what she would become with such a face, and then Nathanial, a man whome could not look her in the eyes for more than a moment without grabbing her and wishing to bed her. Everytime she denied him, everytime he left a new scar on her body and on her soul.
She was a object to him, an object to his lust. But the look Kaze gave her, it would have taken her breath away if she had breath at all. She felt her world spin as she looked at his eyes and they stared into hers. He did not look away until what seemed like an eternity later, and even then, he looked back to her, caught in her gaze, and she caught in his stare, it was like this for many more moments, moments that felt like years, melting away.
She heard his words and she was knocked from her world, knocked from her mind and her stare. She shook her head slightly, dislodging her hair from behind her ears and making it fall slightly more into her face, a few strands obsucring one of her icy eyes, not like it mattered, her other more than made up for the loss in intensity. "Do not apologize..." She said simply, taking a step forward, not really thinking about it until after, she had put her body on auto and it moved to him like he was a magnet, she had to stop herself from moving closer. "No one has ever looked at me like that... If you had not told me the name of it I would have never known what this stare meant." She said, attempting to dislodge her aze from his, she failed, her eyes kept to his, it was like the forest was gone, the waterfall was gone... It was him and her, and the Darkness in both their souls.
