The same thought ran through Sheila's mind, and she always kept a keen corner of her eye on Kakashi to make sure he made no sneaky-looking advances on her. On a high tree branch, she sat, rather enjoying the fresh wind of the fields rather than the stinking odor of garbage in the city air.
It was a change that she'd have to get used to, though. But now raised her next question. "...Where would I go from here...?" she asked herself, though her question was audible to Kakashi.

Well, that was an interesting question. Under normal circumstances, I would have turned and run with my tail between my legs back to the mountains I'd come from, and hide there till I built up the courage to come back out. But, these circumstance were far from normal, and I was getting a bit tired of that tactic, anyway. It never helped in the long wrong, and usually screwed me up even worse.
Personally, I'd head anywhere I could hide, so, maybe a small town or a city?
I responded, not really caring if she'd been talking to herself or not. I'd gotten bored of talking to myself the second month, which is when I started making friends with the animals. Poor Bob, he never had a chance against that grizzly.

Sheila glared down at Kakashi, apparently a little surprised either that he had heard her or that he actually bothered to answer her in some form.
"While I have no intention to hide," Sheila said, "it may be a good choice." She looked back towards the city. "...And I'm sorry about your friend, though I feel more sorry for the bear."

Now, there was something wrong with what she said, and as I thought it over, my hazy mind picked out the words and told my brain that she knew something she wasn't supposed to. I had a pretty good idea about how she knew, and I didn't like that idea, for various reasons. Various personal reasons. I would have to be careful about what I thought in her presence.
I do believe it would be a wise choice, whether you like it or not, and I would appreciate it if you refrained from reading my thoughts, if such an action is possible.
I voiced calmly, narrowing my eyes at her. A dark flame flickered in their center, just waiting to be lit in full. I hadn't played out all my anger yet, and it felt like it was burning me form the inside out.

"That was not fault if your thoughts reached out to me," Sheila said bluntly, not caring to look at Kakashi again as she said this.
Her anger, unlike Kakashi's, was already ablaze. ...It had been for so many years.

Another sigh escaped and banged my head against the tree trunk. Had I said it was going to be hard getting along with her? I meant to say impossible. In the short amount of time we'd been civil with each other, the, the conversation had deteriorated rapidly. The first time I've been social for a year and I get stuck talking with her.
Ok, fine, I'll try not to think to hard.
I replied, mutter something along the lines of "Just like you," under my breath.
Now that we've settled that, why don't we figure out where we're going before we get a couple of daggers in our backs?

"I was hoping you could tell me, as I know that I've been caged and confined to that wretched city for near ten years," Sheila replied. "Have you ideas?"

Oh, I've got plenty of ideas. It's just that most of them end in certain death.
I replied, carefully arching my back, for the hard tree trunk was quickly stiffening it. The movement sent a ripple of pain up my spine, but I ignored and leaned back again, glancing up at Sheila.
But, since I think we can correctly assume death is not our desired route today, I suggest we head to Harphila. It's a small town with few soldiers, and a chance at some money.
I finally answered, taking great pleasure in adding more detail then was needed. I needed to find some way to annoy her.

Sheila wouldn't be wavered. She remained in her branch, watching the peaceful scenery pass her by, as night progressed into late night. The breeze was cool, and the light of the moon shown pale.
It was... comforting to her. So comforting, that she didn't bother to answer Kakashi just yet.

The silence was deafening, and, sighing once again, I slowly rose to my feet, pushing my hands into my pocks and staring long and hard at eh girl sitting in her tree.
Or we can just sit here and wait till morning to keep moving, but if that's what you'd like, might I suggest we find a cave so that I can lie down in safety and you can find a better perch to gaze at the moon from.
I voiced, a smidgen annoyed at this point. If she didn't come out of her tree soon, I was heading up there to join her and maybe push her off her branch. Inaction is not something I enjoy. Ok, not true. Inaction is something I enjoy when I;m not being pursued by a band of blood thirsty soldiers.

Sheila, of course, did not budge from her perch. However, she DID speak this time in response to Kakashi's words.
"...You can go seek shelther if you wish. I will be able to hide for a while and join you later."

My eye twitched slightly, and with a shrug I began to walk away at a determined pace, trying to ignore how beautiful the scene around me was. The grass looked blue in the moonlight, almost like an ocean on the earth. I watched it for a few seconds, letting the waving brush clam me before I stopped and turned around, returning to the tree and once more looking up at Sheila.
I've decided that's a bad idea, and I'm coming up with you. It'll be safer if we stick together.
I demanded, setting my hands on my hips in a posture which resembled something like determination. That's what I was aiming for, anyway.

Sheila's blood-red lips twitched in a fleeting smirk at this indecisive behavior that Kakashi showed to her. Apparently, he didn't want to be alone.
She had been alone all this time... A change didn't seem harmful. And despite this, none of it meant that she trusted him. For all she knew, Kakashi was an enemy in disguise.
A good hour passed, and Sheila finally hopped down from the tree.

I smiled at her as she finally leaped form her tree house, but then I realized she couldn't see the smile anyway, and I stopped.
Good, now, can we please get going?
I asked her urgently, wishing I had been better at keeping my nervousness out of my voice. She probably already thought enough bad things about me, and adding more wasn't going to help our... our, relationship, as you might say.
I cringed inwardly, hoping she hadn't read that thought. It was so hard to remember that.

If Sheila read those thoughts, she didn't react to any of them outwardly. The same glowering gaze stared itself at him, making it next to impossible to tell if she was even smiling. She merely nodded to Kakashi and gestured in a direction.
"Yes, we can get going... if you know the way."
