I move faster now as the shouts increase in volume, stands pass faster and people yell at me for shoving them. I could care less, though. But where would I take her, I know of someone who could help me with a place, but I don't know how to get a hold of him. Now of all times would be the perfect time to pull one of his just randomly show up things. But I can't count on that so I push further into the center of the street for a chance to hide us but also for a quicker route out of town though back routes would seem safer and much slower, but what about the roof? I turn around and grab her arm pulling her close enough that no one else will hear what I'm saying. "Can you jump up to the top of the carts, or do I need to find another way to get you up there?" Now that I ask pushing to the center was a stupid idea but if I can jump up there I'm sure she can too. Or at least I hope she can.

I can hear shouting from where I kneel over the body of a dead man. The sound of armor, and people running. Two are lighter than the others, one of them sounds familiar. I stand up and walk down the alley, a knife still in my hand and blood splatter still on my face. Yes, I can smell her now, and the nerves of the other one only heighten my senses. I slip through the crowd, shoving them aside easily and almost knocking over a couple of humans. It is quite simple, really. I catch the scent of their fear as I pass them, and it brings a manic smile to my face. I lean down, my mouth not far from Gwen's ear. "If you are trying to get out of town, I would suggest you hurry. There are soldiers coming." There is still the slightly manic smile on my face, but I do not care.

I was about to answer that I was, indeed, capable of leaping atop the carts, but paused as I heard another voice among us. Glancing over, I saw a man beside the woman. "Who's he?" I asked, slightly suspicious now. The new stranger didn't look entirely... all there, as one would say.
