I glared at Runa, clenching my jaw. "You may have noticed that I haven't offered you any information, mentally or vocally," I pointed out. And that was certainly a good thing.
"And I haven't had this problem with mindreaders while being Suedo or assassin thus far," I added. This was the first time I hadn't met I was supposed to kill; and at that moment where one must decide to kill or not, there are little thoughts. Just action.

You almost told me you're next move... Runa smiled but said nothing. She made a chuckling noice, and looked up at the sky. How did they let this girl into their asosication? What idiot accepted her? "How did they accept you there?" Runa asked calmly.

I stared at Runa, my face void of all emotion. "I don't think that's really any of your business," I said, training my mind not to focus on anything but cat.

Runa jumped a bit, like she woke up. "Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention...But of course it isn't...I was just wondering...out loud." Runa said inocently.

"Hm," I grunted, pursing my lips and staring at Runa, trying to figure her out. Cat rolled over on his back once more, stretching his limbs out and twitching his tail, batting at dream mice in his sleep.
The moon bathed us all in a blue glow. I craved to take advantage of it and throw off my impaired vision, absorb the light into my cat eyes, wander on four paws, sleep undisturbed. "How long have you been here?" I asked her. "Mulosia, I mean."

Runa smiled in her mind. So, you'll try to play my game? Won't you...It's alright, I can work with that... "Just got here, this evening. How long were you?"

A grin tugged at one side of my mouth in a small smirk. "I had just arrived when you saw me," I offered. "Or, heard me."
If felt like a small dart had just knocked against the skin on my hand. Looking up, I saw the sky was clouding over, the moon only shining half through, giving the shadows a disfigured appearance. And upon my hand was a small drop of water. Cat shuddered beside me, a small circle of damp fur on his coat. Another raindrop.

Runa looked up and down. "Something tells me that your Cat isn't much to found of water, you should seek shelter." She pointed out shaking her head. Runa didn't mind the water, but being soaked when she wasn't prepared...yea that wasn't fun...

I stared at Cat without emotion for a moment. Part of me wanted to say I didn't care what Cat wanted, I wanted to stay in the rain, as weird as that sounded. I liked rain. But I knew it was my responsibility as owner to take care of him. He was now fully awake, jumping at another drop of rain, hissing and spiting the clouds above him.
"Coward," I accused him, though I picked Cat up and wrapped him in my jacket.

Runa shook her head. "There, there...It's not his fault it's raining, and that he's a cat...It's just life, so appologize to him." Runa smiled.

I stared at Runa with a raised eyebrow. Did this woman actually just tell me to talk with my cat? Not likely. Sure, I would talk to him at times. But that was of my own free will. And when I was alone.
"I love him and all," I began slowly, "but I don't think that's going to happen."
Cat squirmed, trying to get his head under my jacket as well. He was being a baby about it, but I helped cover his head by tightening the wrap I had around him anyway.

"I guess that could help..." Runa pulled her hands wide apart. Her face was churned up making the drops fall on her cheeks. "And, yes. I did mean it. Why don't you apolodgize to him? It's perfectly normal..." She pointed out as she looked back down. "Plus, it's starting to rain harder, we should seek shelter."

I chose to ignore her recommendation, instead focusing on Runa's final sentence.
We, she had said. We? Since when was there a we? I stared at her, my brow furrowed for a few moments, trying to put the things in my mind into the right category. Walking away is rude. Not saying anything makes you look stupid.
"I know of an inn not too far from here," I offered her. "If you'd like me to take you there..."

I shrugged. "My plan isn't to stay there. Just to take you there," I explained, opening my jacket to reveal my black sweater and pulling Cat out, waving my hand to summon my pack. I opened it, stuffing him inside before swinging it on my back.
