WELCOME UPDATES MINIBANNER
Welcome to Forinasi, the RPG sequel to Forste. This RPG is open to all types of RPers (though the members here are pretty insane.) Forinasi is crazy fun and great for all slightly-mature-with-a-twist-of-psycho people.

Let's Get This Party Started

Make me happy and go read the New Special Event thread, please.

Runa kept laughing, but stoped when she saw the cat jump up.
'What do you hear? Or sence....or what?" She asked quietly and leaned toward the ground.

I aimed a disdainful glare her way, thinking of all the monsters that roamed open plains like this. Like the one we had been stupidly sleeping in. It had probably stumbled upon us as we slept, and was now watching us, waiting for the right moment to attack.

I heard the rustle again. Not very far away, but not very close, either.

My cat eyes didn't work as well in daylight as they did moon, though. I used my size to my advantage, though, creeping forward, low to the ground. I made it a point to keep my tail flat on the ground, my paws padding noiselessly across the grass as I neared the predators.

I heard them rather than saw them. Gutons. Their hissing gave them away. Three, from what I could hear. Slowly, I inched backward.

But one heard me, wheeling its ugly head to face me. I hissed at it, trying to take the appearance of a feral cat, and sprinted away. I could hear its disturbing laughter behind me, but it didn't try to run after me.

The existence of Gutons was mere legend; some said that a corrupt king had used them as soldiers, and ever since he had been defeated, they were forced to live in the wild, Rutherford preferring more intelligent creatures obviously. Although it was told that Gutons could speak Ancient; I never came close enough to one to find out, though.

Once I had reached Runa, I quickly returned back to human form. "Gutons," I muttered to her, keeping my voice low. "Three." Cat, apparently sensing the danger, had come back to camp and slipped inside my pack, which I swung on my back. After a moment of thought, I murmured a few words, and my belt was around my waist. I touched my sword hilt reassuringly.

"We should go," I said to Runa.

Runa nodded, though she had no clue what they were. She took out a knife just in case and fallowed Kasandra.
"Wait, what exactly are they?"

"Monsters," I answered, my voice bitter. "Literally. They're like a... distorted version of a human." I licked my lips, saying, "They only know how to kill, though. Sort of like a weird, smarter version of a rabid wild animal." Hoping this was satisfaction enough, I started in the direction of northeast.

"They probably aren't here to hurt us; when it comes to Rutherford they aren't on anyone's side. But that doesn't mean they won't react to their first instinct," I continued, glancing behind me warily.

I paused to think. "We should probabaly go northwest instead of north," I murmured. "That way we stay clear of their path." Hopefully. It wasn't like they were immobile objects; they were probably going to migrate in some direction.

Swinging my hair over my shoulder, I put a hand on the sword hilt at my side in case of emergency, and started to walk.

Runa nodded and fallowed Kasandra throwing a pearcing glance behind them to where the beings should be. Silantly she walked beside the girl with a knife in her hand.

I glanced over at Runa, calmed slightly at the appearance of the dagger she had in hand. If we were forced to fight, I wouldn't be fighting alone, then.

We walked in silence for a few minutes, and then we were nearing the spot the Gutons had been previously. I peered over, hoping to catch sight of them, but my stomach twisted as I saw they weren't there. They had moved, though where to I wasn't sure.
